Targa Telematics digitizes Europ Assistance Italia’s roadside assistance

Targa Telematics’ smart mobility platform will represent the “digital heart” for safe and efficient management of the Company’s roadside assistance operations.

Targa Telematics, one of the leading global players in the field of technologies dedicated to the Internet of Things (IoT) and the development of digital solutions and platforms for connected mobility, will support Europ Assistance Italia in the digital transformation of its roadside assistance processes.

The Care Company of the Generali Group can handle up to 4,000 roadside assistance interventions per day, with peaks of 80,000 per month during the summer period.

By virtue of this collaboration, drivers in Europ Assistance’s network will be equipped with a mobile app, specially developed by the Targa Telematics team, through which they will be able to communicate with Europ Assistance’s systems and platforms and share data on the mission in progress. In this way, requests for action and dispatching will be managed digitally, ensuring the streamlining and simplification of workflows.

In addition, the vehicles of Europ Assistance’s partners will be equipped with a telematics device, with the data collected, appropriately processed and analyzed by Targa Telematics’ systems, allowing the Company to improve the management of interventions, monitoring their progress, assessing performance and guaranteeing customers the highest levels of service, combined with a first class user experience.

All of the players involved in the mission will be able to work with relevant, real-time information on the status of operations, allowing them to: monitor the routes of assistance vehicles, verify the accuracy of documentation transmitted, and automate the forwarding of relevant information on the ongoing mission, such as passing through toll booths and the estimated time of arrival of the road rescue vehicle.
