Targa Telematics, one of the world’s leading players in the field of IoT and the development of digital solutions and platforms for connected mobility, has created a solution for Real-Time Toll Calculation, based on vehicle connectivity, which makes it possible to calculate the cost of freeway journeys during a given period.

Targa Telematics’ solution is implemented using its digital platform, which aggregates the different sources of data from vehicles, including through the direct integration of data streams provided by manufacturers. It can be applied to a variety of sectors of activity and geographies and also meets a specific need of car rental companies in the Portuguese market, a market segment in which Targa Telematics has a great deal of experience. At a national level, there are already several companies with active vehicles in their fleet and Waygo Car Rental, a new brand that is investing in the Portuguese market, is one of the first to benefit from the solution.
