Yesterday evening, on March 26, the new headquarters of Targa Telematics, a company dedicated to the development of digital solutions and platforms for connected mobility, was inaugurated. Following the recent acquisition of Viasat, Targa Telematics decided to move the Turin offices of the two companies and bring them together in a single shared headquarters, with the objective of pooling corporate culture and expertise, facilitating integration and exchange between the two realities so that they become key players in the mobility of the future.
The new headquarters, a recently renovated 3-storey Art Nouveau building at 16, Via Tollegno, is located in the Barriera di Milano neighborhood, which is at the center of major redevelopment and revitalization projects in the area.
Built to house a confectionery company, then the headquarters of coffee producer Lavazza until 2009, within its area of approximately 4,000 square meters, the building will house about 200 people, split between commercial management, the technology and R&D department, operations and logistics with a warehouse and the help desk. Employees will have offices, meeting rooms, a conference room with a capacity of more than 100 people for conventions and events, and common spaces, such as a terrace and a dedicated area to encourage social interaction, as well as a canteen, with the aim of creating an extremely comfortable environment.
“After the acquisition of Viasat, completed in the middle of last year, we were looking for a location that could accommodate all of our now enlarged Turin family, in order to foster integration and the exchange of expertise”, commented Nicola De Mattia, CEO of Targa Telematics. “We firmly believe that a company’s success derives from its corporate culture and is promoted by the possibility of direct and continuous contact and interaction between people. The property in Via Tollegno has all the features that we were seeking in order to pursue these goals”.
