Targa Telematics signs a partnership with Hyundai Connected Mobility GMBH for the integration of data streams from Hyundai vehicles

Targa Telematics, one of the world’s leading players in AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things) for the development of digital solutions and platforms for connected mobility, announces a partnership with Hyundai Connected Mobility GmbH to expand its portfolio of data solutions for fleet operators through the integration of Hyundai vehicles across Europe.

The partnership covers different generations of vehicles, unlocking the integrated management of fleets comprising both newer vehicles and earlier models and facilitating rapid adoption by mobility operators.

The collaboration entails the direct integration of fleet data streams into the Targa Telematics platform. This will enable the development of new mobility services for fleet managers in areas including maintenance, stolen vehicle recovery, claims management, fraud detection, driving analysis, activity reporting, EV management, and additional services supporting Targa Telematics’ offering. These services will leverage data such as real-time vehicle location, mileage, vehicle status, fuel or battery charge level, Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), tire monitoring and other information, without requiring new hardware installations.

Targa Telematics will also support advanced EV management capabilities, including monitoring battery charge levels, remaining driving range, charging status and energy consumption, for Hyundai electric vehicles. This will provide customers with full operational visibility over electrified fleets, allowing for efficient vehicle management at scale.

The agreement complies with the EU Data Act (Regulation (EU) 2023/2854) and places the Business User’s consent for vehicle data access at its core. In line with the security requirements set by Hyundai Connected Mobility GmbH, Targa Telematics holds TISAX Level 2 certification, an internationally recognized standard for information security in the automotive sector.
