Quality, Environment, Health and Safety at Work Policy
Revision No. 02
TO ALL EMPLOYEES
OUR TEAM
Stakeholders
Our Group is an important asset in the panorama of applied computing. To date our business is focused on the development of Solutions that enable connection and communication with, from and between objects (IoT), therefore value-added services that allow us to save time, energy and money: knowing the geographical position of people, means and things allows us to create opportunities, solve problems, meet needs.
In order to consolidate our position with regard to quality and customer service, in the past the first step was to adhere to the regulations that aim to guarantee our products and services to customers, creating a Quality Management System that complies with the UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 standard. The second step was integrating the requirements of the worldwide reference standard for environmental management, UNI EN ISO 14001:2015. It is undeniable, on the other hand, that the solutions we develop have a beneficial effect on the health of the Earth, as they improve the efficiency of vehicles and equipment, reduce the consumption of natural resources, limit air pollution and optimize asset management.
Our Group is strongly committed to compliance with all applicable regulations and laws, and in particular the technical standards provided for vehicles and related equipment and environmental standards.
As an additional step, also leveraging the experience gained at the Targa Telematics UK office, it was decided to extend ISO 45001 certification to other Group companies as well, in order to strengthen workplace health and safety.
HEALTH AND SAFETY AT WORK
Management regards the protection of employees’ health and safety as a fundamental value and a strategic priority for the Group. For this reason, it promotes an approach that goes beyond mere compliance with legal obligations, integrating health and safety into an organisational system designed to ensure safe working environments and to foster a culture of prevention at all levels of the organisation.
In this context, the Management is committed not only to ensuring full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, to identifying and assessing the risks associated with the activities carried out, and to adopting preventive and protective measures to eliminate or reduce them where possible, but also to making adequate resources available for the maintenance and improvement of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System, to encourage the involvement and consultation of workers and their representatives, and to promote continuous training, information and instruction.
Our Integrated Management System for Quality, the Environment and Health and Safety at Work enables:
- the standardisation of quality levels
- a reduction in costs
- increased competitiveness
- continuous improvement in quality and environmental performance
- the prevention of accidents and occupational diseases;
- the protection of workers’ health and wellbeing;
- continuous improvement in occupational health and safety performance
- the ongoing review of this policy, taking account of changes within the organisation
- the enhancement of the company’s image
To be effective in driving change, it is essential to share common values – values that represent the Group’s identity and naturally inspire the behaviour of all members of our organisation. Full adherence to these values is, for all of us, a goal to be achieved through our day-to-day behaviour, both individually and as a group.
Our values as presented to the outside world are:
A STRONG FOCUS ON CUSTOMER SATISFACTION THROUGH THE CREATION OF MEASURABLE AND CONTINUOUS VALUE FOR THE CUSTOMER.
We believe that the key to success in a highly competitive environment lies in customer satisfaction achieved through this approach, by identifying and suggesting what is necessary for the customer and their business model. The customer will be our primary guide in business decisions, whether strategic or operational. We will listen to our customers and commit to meeting their needs and expectations. We will conduct our business relationships with a partnership-based approach, founded on honouring our commitments, building substantive relationships and achieving mutual benefits.
LOYALTY, SERIOUSNESS AND HONESTY
We will work with companies and individuals in accordance with the highest ethical standards.
CORPORATE IDENTITY
We aim to be recognised as a solid, reliable and cohesive organisation by all our stakeholders, and we will work hard to consolidate this image.
ENVIRONMENTAL FOCUS
We have a duty to identify significant environmental aspects and potential impacts, take appropriate preventive measures, train relevant staff at all levels and constantly monitor results. We also aim to optimise the consumption of energy and natural resources, in the belief that everyone must play their part in protecting the planet.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
People’s health and safety are an essential element of the Group’s sustainable development. Every activity must be carried out in accordance with company procedures and the prevention and protection measures adopted. Every employee is expected to contribute actively to creating and maintaining a safe working environment by reporting hazardous situations and behaving responsibly. The Group promotes the continuous improvement of working conditions and regards safety as a shared responsibility at all levels of the organisation.
OUR VALUES INSIDE THE GROUP ARE:
RESULTS-ORIENTATION
We want everyone’s decisions, actions and behaviours to be oriented and aimed at corporate profitability and cost reduction, through the achievement of defined results with the contribution of all, for which everyone must take responsibility in the realization that is their responsibility and dedicate personal commitment in the process of continuous improvement, each according to their own attributions and skills.
TEAM SPIRIT
We want a sense of belonging to the company to develop, through team spirit and mutual collaboration.
SERVICE ORIENTATION
Every activity is part of a process, and every process has a customer, our colleagues are Customers, and therefore resources to be respected and valued.
CHANGE-ORIENTED APPROACH
Ours is a learning organisation, where staff who are willing to take on challenges are valued and make change their daily challenge.
CONFIDENTIALITY
The Group’s activities involve the collection, storage and processing of data which must not be disclosed externally, or the inappropriate or untimely disclosure of which could harm the Group’s interests. For this reason, everyone who works with our Group is required to protect the information they come into contact with in the course of their professional duties, and to strictly avoid any misuse of such information. Further details are available on our website.
HUMAN RESOURCES
Human resources are the cornerstone of the Group’s development. For this reason, the Group is committed to engaging and raising awareness amongst its employees to promote and stimulate the development and growth of its workforce, with a view to maximising each individual’s potential. Everyone’s conduct must ensure that our human capital is valued as a distinctive feature of our Group. Every decision must be taken as if the company were one’s own: only in this way can we be a group committed to excellence.
This Integrated Quality, Environment and Occupational Health and Safety Policy is approved by Senior Management, communicated to all staff, made available to interested parties and periodically reviewed to ensure its continued suitability, effectiveness and consistency with the Group’s strategic objectives.
This Policy is also disseminated via publication on our website.
